Backbone is a noir-themed narrative game following Howard Lotor, a raccoon private detective in a dystopian Vancouver ruled by apes and surrounded by the Wall.

I read and very much enjoyed The Pillars of the Earth novel a couple of years ago, and was interested to see how this game would live up to its inspiration. In my opinion it did quite well, and captured the spirit of the source material while allowing for a varied, rich story.

Tales of Vesperia was my first Tales game. I had heard a lot of good things about the franchise, and was excited to finally try it for myself.

Shadow Tactics is a top-down strategy game where you control a ragtag group of warriors working for the Shogun working to quell a rebellion and eliminate Kage-sama, a powerful enemy to the Shogunate Empire.

Deep Rock Galactic’s premise of dwarves in space is instantly eye-catching. Adding guns, aliens, and procedurally generated maps to the mix makes for a heck of a journey as you delve deep beneath the surface of various planets.
